Overview

The Department of Arts, Culture, and Technology invites applicants for the position of Teaching Track Assistant Professor of Communication, specialization open. We are particularly interested in digital forms of communication and environmental communication. Candidates with environmental specializations would have the opportunity to affiliate with the Institute for a Sustainable Environment.

ABOUT CLARKSON:

Clarkson University is a research-intensive institution with a pre-professional teaching mission in engineering, business and the sciences. Responsibilities

TEACHING/WORKLOAD:
Teach courses in communication, including Professional Communication, Public Speaking, elective communication courses, and UNIV 190: The Clarkson Seminar, a first-year critical reading and writing course. Additionally this role will participate in Advisement and Service as governed by the departmental workload policy.   

Qualifications

Minimal qualifications/experience:  PhD in Rhetoric and Composition, Communication, or related field by Sept 1, 2025 and evidence of teaching excellence.
