The Department of Mathematics at Clarkson University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position starting Fall 2026. We are seeking an innovative teacher-scholar whose expertise in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields will help shape our expanding programs and prepare students for the analytical challenges of tomorrow. Responsibilities

Your Role
• Teach a 2+2 course load each academic year (two courses per semester) at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Mentor and inspire students through research projects, applied learning, and career guidance.
• Engage in a vibrant research program with opportunities for collaboration across campus and beyond.
• Contribute to departmental and university service that strengthens our academic community.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For
• Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field (by the start date).
• Evidence of or strong potential for teaching excellence and research productivity.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and accessibly to diverse learners.
• A demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching and fostering student success.
