The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Clarkson University invites applications for the role of Adjunct Instructor for the Construction Engineering Management Program (CEM).

The Construction Engineering Management (CEM) Program seeks qualified adjunct instructors to teach courses supporting graduate as well as undergraduate construction focused classes. The CEM Program covers a broad range of topics across various fields in the construction industry (see www.clarkson.edu/cem for more information).
Adjunct Instructors will be responsible for delivering existing courses and others that are developed to support the program at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Adjunct Instructors will be asked to teach courses so that they can be taken through digital learning as well as in a traditional classroom. Instructors may also be asked to provide co-curricular support to the program through its many activities.
Minimal Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geography, Geology, Geographic Information Systems, BIM/VDC, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Engineering Management, Building Systems, Building Science, Mechanical Engineering, or an allied/related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Master’s Degree (MS or MBA)
● Professional Engineering/Registered Architect/Professional Land Surveyor license (or other industry related credentials).
● Previous teaching experience.
Minimal Experience:
● Strong project management record with increasing levels of responsibility in the construction industry
Preferred Experience:
● At least five (5) years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry.
● Proven track record in vertical and/or horizontal construction.
